Appriority is an easy to use tool for Mac OS X that simply makes the app you’re working in go faster by allowing you to optimize the CPU load on your computer. Once fully configured, Appriority works by suspending and resuming applications as you switch among them. Inactive applications can be set for suspension which will eliminate their CPU usage until you switch back to them. The benefits of this are improved performance in the application you currently have active, less battery power used while mobile, and less heat produced by your computer.

Adobe has released a major new version of its Lightroom photography software for all supported platforms, including Mac OS X. Lightroom 4.0 is out of beta, packing tons of new features and enhancements.
Available as a $79 upgrade to all users, the new version adds basic video editing and playing, a new auto-fix function based on content, enhanced adjustment brushes, book creation tools, and integrated maps that support GPS data.

As Apple prepares to launch a full-fledged HD TV set whose display is reportedly being produced by Sharp, TV makers worldwide are “scrambling” to identify its key selling points, so as not to be caught off guard, according to a Jefferies analyst.
Peter Misek issued a note to investors this week writing that Apple is geared towards a partnership with Sharp for the TFT-LCD panels destined for the rumored iTV.
Apple currently sells a $99 set-top box called Apple TV but the Cupertino giant is believed to be working on a full-featured TV offering that also delivers the big screen and voice-activated remote control technology (Siri).
